Palace Theatre, 710 Dundas St

London, Ontario

This March, Tangled Art + Disability brings three days of disability arts events to London as part of Tangled on Tour. The program includes visual arts, live music, film and a movement workshop engaging arts and disability communities.

“The artists presenting work have an awareness of how the world is changing and the endless possibilities of how people with disabilities can reshape it,” says Tour Director Cara Eastcott. “We are looking forward to building on the connection between Toronto and London, using disability arts as the thread.”

The events begin by entering into the realm of visual artist Barbara Greene Mann and her multi-layered expression of the perfect world. Regan Brashear’s documentary FIXED: The Science/Fiction of Human Enhancement will screen at the Palace Theatre, and feature a panel discussion about the effects of radical innovations in technology on the disability community. Legendary Canadian choreographer Peggy Baker will present her fully accessible FluxDeluxworkshop, which uses smart phone technology to explore space through movement and hip hop emcee Mighty Rhino will turn up your Saturday night with some real talk raps.
